Please join us in welcoming five new employees to the Lally School of Management:

Kevin Fletcher, Ph.D., joined Lally as the director of undergraduate programs and a professor of practice. He completed his Ph.D. in management at Lally, master’s degrees in environmental management and policy from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), and a bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in philosophy and environmental studies from SUNY Geneseo. He joins us from the School of Management at Russell Sage College, where he was an associate professor, chair, and undergraduate program director. Professor Fletcher founded Greener Futures Consulting LLC, located in Castleton-on-Hudson, New York. 

He grew up in Frewsburg, New York, and since college, has lived in the Capital Region with his wife and children. With his children in college, he’s experienced higher education from both sides of the fence, allowing him to better guide prospective students and parents as well as help new students navigate the college experience.

After spending most of his career in environmental management and the sustainable business space, he returned to higher education about 10 years ago. While his experience at Russell Sage College was terrific, he could not turn down the chance to return to RPI and work with top-notch faculty, staff, and students. He especially looks forward to fostering a culture of creativity, discovery, and innovation in Lally by working collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.  

Markus Messore joined Lally as an administrative specialist to support faculty and Lally’s Centers of Excellence. He is a graduate of Skidmore College and joins RPI from the YMCA of Saratoga, where he was a member representative.  

Markus is originally from Corinth, New York. His primary hobby is making music, specifically playing guitar, and he also enjoys writing. He was attracted to RPI because of both a longstanding desire to pivot to a career in academia and a love for the city of Troy. As a resident of Troy, he takes pride in helping the city be everything it can be. 

The versatility of the position also attracted Markus to RPI. He is most excited to be a part of an operation that sets the stage for students to become the best versions of themselves. He loved college and is excited to give back to the next generation to improve their own college experiences.

Kyle Roth joined Lally as the administrative specialist in the Dean’s Office. In this role, Kyle will provide administrative support to the Dean’s Office, the associate deans, and Student Services as well as serve as the coordinator for the Pittsburgh Building. Kyle is a graduate of SUNY Oneonta and joins us from the Office of Diversity & Inclusion at Cornell University, where he was an administrative assistant.  

Kyle is a native of Dutchess County, New York. In his free time, he enjoys reading, swimming, and spending time in nature. He is excited to meet all the wonderful people who work at RPI and looks forward to going to a hockey game.

Joshlin Sheridan, M.Ed., joined Lally as a senior student services administrator for the undergraduate programs. Joshlin earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Brigham Young University and her Master of Education from Wilmington University. She joins us from Harford Community College in Bel Air, Maryland, where she held the position of interim manager for the Learning Center.

Joshlin is originally from Kansas City. Her hobbies include baking, theater, writing, and running. She specializes in helping students develop non-cognitive skills such as time management, goal-setting, and organizational strategies. She is looking forward to getting to know the talented students in the Lally School. 

Tanya Singh, Ph.D., joined Lally as a tenure-track assistant professor in ethics in emerging technologies and marketing. She obtained her Ph.D. in business administration from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University, in Canada, in 2022. Since then, she has been working as a senior lecturer at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She also earned a Ph.D. in evolutionary biology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2017, and, thereafter, worked as a postdoctoral researcher in evolutionary genetics at Texas A&M University for a brief period. 

Professor Singh’s research broadly examines how technology affects ethical decision-making. Her specific interests are related to the challenges in algorithmic decision-making, ethics and AI, ethics in genetics and medicine, and resource scarcity. 

She is originally from Delhi, India, but having moved a lot in her childhood, she attended 14 different schools between ages 3 and 18. In her free time, she enjoys knitting and making art. She was attracted to this position and RPI because her research is interdisciplinary. She’s most excited to connect with new colleagues and students.
