On November 29, two members of the Industry Advisory Board came to Lally to speak to students taking the graduate-level Professional Development Workshop class.
Gerald Jackson is a 1997 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in industrial and management engineering. He started his career as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt at GE, led digital supply chain transformation efforts as a consultant at Accenture, led supply chain technology for Microsoft’s Xbox and Surface hardware, and, most recently, held VP and senior director of product management roles developing Industry 4.0 products and solutions at GE Digital, Google, and Microsoft.
Afshin Goodarzi is a 1986 graduate who has held data science leadership roles at BlackRock, Verizon, American Financial, and Equifax. Currently, he serves as the chief data scientist at Kargo. In these roles, he has gained substantial experience in leading, mentoring, and significantly scaling multi-office, multi-national analytics and engineering teams. Goodarzi has designed, built, and delivered numerous products and solutions through which he has developed a strong background in enterprise, SaaS, and B2B serving several industries, including financial services, ad tech, retail, and consumer packaged goods.
