Vitor F. M. Ferreira, Lally Ph.D. Candidate, Earns Doctorate with Research on Entrepreneurial Strategy and AI

 

The Lally School of Management congratulates Dr. Vitor Ferreira on successfully defending his dissertation titled Strategy and Entrepreneurial Ecosystems: A Multi-Level Inquiry into Firm Strategy, Policy Design, and Risk.”

Dr. Ferreira’s research advances the understanding of how firms, governments, and financial systems navigate uncertainty. His dissertation brings together three complementary studies examining strategic innovation, the role of public policy in shaping entrepreneurial ecosystems, and new advanced econometric methods for measuring systemic financial risk.

Throughout his doctoral journey, Dr. Ferreira presented his research at an extensive list of leading academic conferences and contributed to scholarly discussions in strategy, innovation policy, and Artificial Intelligence.

He is deeply grateful to his advisors, Dr. Jason Kuruzovich and Dr. Murali Chari, for their invaluable guidance, encouragement, and support throughout this journey.

Dr. Ferreira is also a serial entrepreneur and will continue pursuing his passion for business development. He will soon join Bryant University in Providence, United States, as an Assistant Professor, where he will continue advancing research in artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship.
