Program Overview

The STEM-designated MBA in Design at the Lally School of Management is a forward-thinking program that blends business strategy, design thinking, and advanced computing to prepare students for leadership in product development, user experience (UX), service design, and brand innovation. 

This interdisciplinary concentration aligns with Lally’s strategic goals of developing leaders in high-tech industries, particularly those with engineering and science backgrounds. Students collaborate with peers from RPI’s renowned engineering, architecture, and technology programs, gaining the expertise to drive innovation in manufacturing, technology, and design-driven industries. 

This one-year program offers flexibility, allowing students to complete their degree in three consecutive semesters (fall, spring, summer or spring, summer, fall). Alternatively, students can choose an extended format, spreading their studies over three non-consecutive semesters (fall, spring, fall or spring, fall, spring) to better balance their academic and professional commitments.
